madd al-lin : C’est lorsqu’on s’arrête sur un mot dont l’avant dernière lettre est un Waw () ou un Ya () qui porte un soukoûn et qui est précédé par une Fatha. On peut alors prolonger ce Waw ou ce Ya de 2, 4, ou les temps.
