Held on the beautiful island of Sardinia, Rally Italy – or Rally Italia Sardegna to give it its full name – is a notoriously tricky event. It was won by VW’s Sébastien Ogier in 2013, 2014 and 2015 but 2016 saw Thierry Neuville improve on his promising third-place in 2015 with outright victory in the Hyundai. Estonian driver Ott Tänak claimed glory in the 2017 event, with Finland’s Jari-Matti Latvala in second. Based in historic Alghero, the rally’s also one of the most photogenic stops on the world tour, so pack your camera.
